Alusil TQ 20/30™
Alusil TQ 20/30™ is a low thermal mass granular lining material for use in the base (or hearth) of industrial ovens and furnaces the material is 650kg/m3 dry weight and forms a stable load bearing floor lining, heavy components can be placed directly onto the lining.
A recommended 300mm thickness should be applied evenly over the floor area.
This material may be used to replace a refractory brick base in existing or new installations up to 1150 degreesC (2102F)
Typically the energy absorbed by a refractory brick base is many times more than the process requirement.
If Alusil TQ 20/30™ is used instead of brick the energy required for the hearth is reduced by more than 75%.
An example of a 2m x 2m hearth having a hard refractory brick base heating to 520c the energy to the hearth 330kwh.
This energy demand is reduced to 82.5kwh by use of the Alusil TQ 20/30™ material.
Energy saving 274.5kwh for each cycle. (147.4kg Co2)
If we operate 15 days in each month this saves around £5000.00/year in energy cost
and reduces annual co2 emissions by 26,500kg.(the co2 savings will save significant co2 charges in addition to energy cost savings)
Additional benefits are –
• Reduced oven / furnace rating.
• Faster heating times (less stored energy)
• Faster cooling cycle(less stored energy)
• Increased production times
• Significantly lower cost to install.
The material is supplied palletized in 25no 40L bags each bag is 25kg (1m 3)
